And here we are again, coming up to the end of another amazing season
at Sunchaser Scuba in the British Virgin Islands.
Same as every year, this is the time where we start to prepare for our yearly hiatus. This year we will be closed from 14 August and we will reopen on 9 October. How do we prepare for this yearly hiatus you ask? We strip the boats completely; take off curtains, equipment, anything that is loose or we don’t want to get damaged. We take off any carpets and signs from the dock and building. Inside the office, everything gets wrapped in garbage bags, to prevent water damage. We pull all the boats out of the water and then it is time for vacation.
This year it seems that most of our crew will be heading home to see friends and family and spend some well deserved quality time with them. Lots of food, shopping, big cities and hiking in the forests will be part of everyone’s vacation, next to some beach time, some more diving and maybe even some relaxing.
With the end of this season we sadly will also be saying farewell to our awesome PADI Divemaster Caitlin. She strengthened our team amazingly this year, by guiding divers, backing up and being the best office hero we have ever had. She will be heading back home to the US to continue her education and obtain her second degree in interior design. We wish her the best of luck in pursuing her dreams and our so proud of everything she has achieved here.
Thanks for everyone who made this season another one to never forget!
We look forward welcoming everyone back in October!
